Medway Voluntary Action - Management information process improvement

Project Summary

To help Medway Voluntary Action (MVA) reduce the amount of time taken to log activities on their management information system.

Project description

MVA would like to understand how they can reduce the time it currently takes them to log daily activities on their management information system.

Through a combination of process mapping and system design, the objective is not only to reduce the time taken, but to ensure that the information required for their quarterly reports is captured.

To also note, the current system set-up relies heavily on custom fields which makes asking the management information system software provider for help or assistance difficult – a mapping of custom fields to system fields and an understanding of how they might be able to get away from custom fields is requested.

Location

The work can be done remotely (offices in Chatham, Kent).

Commitment

Time commitment to be determined by volunteer when completing detailed project proposal with MVA.

MVA reports are submitted quarterly, therefore a view of systematic changes is required prior to July’s submission.

Desired project start date

As soon as possible.

Desired project completion date

July 2022.
